Our portfolio

Our team has worked with different media outlets regarding size (1-person editorials – medium-sized editorials with more than 7 people), topics, and languages.

Until now we have worked in Serbia, Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovak Republic, Bulgaria, and North Macedonia. Also, the team is using different languages: English, German, Hungarian, Russian, Ukrainian, Slovak, and Serbian.

Our success stories

Storyteller – about minority issues in two languages. This small local media from Vojvodina (Serbia) started as an idea of a young journalist who left her previous job to create her own media platform in Slovak and Serbian language. Our team supported her to expand her community by rethinking the way she presents multimedia content on the Internet (website and social media platforms) and testing bilingual (Serbian and Slovak) multimedia content. Together with our team, this media outlet now has several successful funding projects in its portfolio.

Nyugat – Regional independent media outlet in Hungary. This regional media is one of the most important media in Hungary, it is regularly cited in larger outlets for great reporting, but at the same time attacked for its independent, free spirit. Our work has enabled them to communicate better and to include their community in their daily work. This community is growing and constantly offering support to the editorial through crowdfunding and donations all year round. Thanks to a well-defined approach and IT intervention, this media today successfully collects support which is now a new source of finance and potential for further development.

IJAV Media Hub. Created from the initial idea of helping the local media scene to thrive and become sustainable in Serbia. This initiative came from the Independent Journalists Association of Vojvodina, with more than 600 members coming from small editorials in this region. This hub became the rare place in Serbia where media are being nourished and where their business ideas are being incubated and in the end implemented. One of the biggest success stories was a joint crowdfunding campaign, developed by this team, and implemented by 6 different media and journalistic organizations. This joint campaign also showcased how e-commerce can be used to diversify of revenues of media outlets. At the same time, this particular campaign raised the visibility of the small, local media scene, and we can see their constant and steady growth today also.
